AMU's monthly survey opens up next week. Time to have your say.

The aluminum market is facing a lot of challenges. One way to stay informed about what your peers are seeing is to check out Aluminum Market Update’s monthly survey, which captures insights on lead times, imports, logistics, prices and more.

But you don’t have to just read the results. You can help shape the conversation by participating firsthand insights.

Our monthly survey collects data on key topics for your business in an anonymous format. The goal is to provide you with a snapshot of the market as it is – even if that differs from expectations. Survey data also helps track what peers across the industry are thinking.

All personal data is kept confidential.

There are additional benefits to participating. Survey participants receive early access to results, including select breakdowns and comparative data not published in full on the website. Subscribers receive expanded survey analysis and access to an archive of historical results.

The survey opens April 13. Participation is open to industry professionals across the value chain, regardless of subscription status. Those interested may contact AMU@crugroup.com.

The breakdown in the US-Canada talks underscores one of the least talked about problems with tariffs. Imposing them is relatively easy (provided they are not overturned by the courts). But when it comes to removing them? A number of industries have grown accustomed to the protection tariffs afford. They will fight tooth and nail to keep them in place. Politicians usually buckle under this backlash, and we suspect this is what happened here.
