Aluminum die casting company to expand in Alabama

Italian aluminum die casting company 2A USA is investing $32 million to expand its manufacturing facility in Auburn, Ala.
2A USA’s expansion will increase production capacity for casting and machining complex and large aluminum components for the heavy truck industry. The expansion will create 50 jobs, according to an announcement from the state governor’s office.
The Tier 1 automotive industry supplier arrived in Alabama in 2014 when it acquired an already operational plant in Auburn Technology Park West, according to officials. In 2019, it spent $15 million to expand the facility.
The latest expansion strengthens the company’s ability to produce advanced aluminum components “Made in the USA” for the North American-based heavy truck industry.
2A USA is the North American division of Turin, Italy-based 2A S.p.A.
