OBE expands architectural aluminum sales network

Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope (OBE) has expanded its architectural aluminum sales network across the eastern US with four independent representative agencies. The move includes PACE Building Envelope Representatives, which is switching from Apogee Enterprises’ architectural metals brands in New England.

OBE said Sept. 8 that MJD Associates of CNY, PACE, TSC Associates and WCJ Sales had jointed its network. The agencies cover parts of the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic and Carolinas.

Aluminum systems representation shifts in New England

PACE said it began representing OBE throughout New England on Sept. 1. Its new portfolio includes OBE curtain wall, storefront and entrance systems, plus other building envelope products.

PACE previously represented Apogee Architectural Metals’ EFCO, Wasaud and Tubelite brands in the region. In its announcement, PACE thanked Apogee and the three brand teams for nearly 20 years of partnership.

A former OBE manager moves the other way

Apogee announced another Northeast sales change on Sept. 8. It named David Bronovicki regional sales manager for its newly established North Atlantic region.

Bronovicki most recently served as OBE’s Northeast regional sales manager. Apogee said he managed direct sales representatives and independent agencies across an 18-state region.

He will now support EFCO, Tubelite and Wausau Window products from Virginia through much of New England, adding another shift in architectural metals sales coverage. Neither company linked Bronovicki’s appointment to OBE’s agency additions.

Coverage expands across the East

MJD will cover New York outside New York City and Long Island. TSC will cover Washington D.C., and several Mid-Atlantic states. WCJ will represent OBE in North Carolina and South Carolina.

OBE said the agencies will carry US aluminum products alongside its other building envelope brands, expanding its representation across the region. The company said the added agencies will work with architects and glazing contractors through existing local relationships.

No new capacity detailed

The architectural aluminum sales change is a route-to-market development rather than a new capacity announcement.

OBE said the expansion is backed by continued investment in manufacturing capacity, inventory and customer support. The release did not identify a plant expansion or new aluminum production equipment.

The announcement refers to OBE’s expanded sales coverage and PACE’s move from Apogee.

Apogee has also changed sales coverage elsewhere in recent weeks. On Aug. 20, it appointed McQuarrie Associates to represent EFCO, Tubelite and Wasau in North California and northwest Nevada.

Apogee later added direct sales representative in its Southwest region and named a South regional sales manager. Those moves are largely wider sales changes, rather than manufacturing shifts as well.
