The labor contract covers workers at Alcoa's smelters in Massena, N.Y., and Warrick, Ind.
The company said the elimination of 57 of its 99 positions is permanent.
The forced-labor and Brazil 301 actions are aimed more at finished goods supply chains, not raw metals.
The contract covers roughly 3,400 workers in Davenport, Iowa; Alcoa, Tenn.; Lafayette, Ind.; and Massena, N.Y.
The current contract expires on May 16.
Contract negotiations between Alcoa and a United Steelworkers local in New York State are still on pause as the two sides work on economic proposals.
