Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear announced Oct. 30 that ClearFlow Metalworks plans to establish a $28 million aluminum manufacturing operation in Logan County. The ClearFlow aluminum plant will initially produce secondary aluminum billet for extrusion and other downstream applications.
Hydro has started construction of a 5,900-tonne indirect extrusion press at its Cressona, Pennsylvania, plant, where it has also expanded recycling capacity.
Higher all-in metal prices and higher alumina prices contributed positively in the quarter, along with improved earnings in Recycling and Extrusions, the company said.
At ADI’s facility in Mississippi, all three cold mills are now operational, which will allow ADI to access the full 650,000-metric-ton annual capability, the company said.
Recycler forward views shifted toward undersupply in October even as Midwest Premium and UBC expectations moved lower.
