Kaiser Aluminum shipments rise on Trentwood recovery

Kaiser Aluminum shipments increased 11% year over year to roughly 300.2 million pounds, or about 136,168 metric tons, in the third quarter. Higher aerospace and general engineering volume led the increase, while coated packaging shipments also rose.

Volume decreased about 2% from about 306 million pounds in the second quarter. Conversion revenue increased 25% year over year to $439 million and rose slightly from $437 million sequentially. Per-pound conversion revenue increased 12% to $1.46.
