Secondary aluminum plant opens in Pennsylvania

    Written by Nicholas Bell

Fagor Ederlan Group has opened a secondary aluminum plant in Blossburg, Pa., with initial annual capacity of 12,000 metric tons. The operation will produce recycled aluminum alloys in ingot form and could reach 36,000 metric tons of capacity in coming years.

The Basque cooperative owns 51% of Fagor Recycling, which it formed with partner Lorne Kalisky. The company said the operation will use exclusively recycled feedstock and supply for the US market.
