Aluminum Association urges for tariff harmony with Canada, Mexico
Written by Stephanie Ritenbaugh
The Aluminum Association is pushing for tariff rates to be aligned in Canada, the US and Mexico.
“We’re staying out of the of the White House’s business when it comes to the movement of the tariff rate itself,” said Charles Johnson, president and CEO of the Washington, D.C.-based trade organization. “We’re trying to make sure that whatever rate is in place, it is workable for the industry, and that the entire tariff regime is aligned with our needs.”
